FALLING ON MY OWN TWO FEET is about finding your footing on a new planet after traveling across the galaxy. It's about gravity and the lack thereof and meanders in and out of several musical "movements" with influences such as DMB, Weezer, The Beatles and David Bowie evident throughout.
lyrics
Now it’s all too late.
To turn this ship around again.
I’ll just automate
to turn a foe into a friend.
Sing it one more time
I feel like I could almost fly away.
To another place.
Where we transcend space and time.
Where you’re strung up by a thread.
Zero gravity makes your bed.
Looking mighty fine- with a pulsar in your eyes:
green and red.
I know you all to well.
Like a jack of spades knew Jill.
I’ve seen it all before.
I’ll wind up plastered on the ceiling.
Hanging on my every word
Living life through a tin can.
Looking mighty fine- with a twinkle in your eyes:
green and red… and now I'm falling on my own two feet.
Put up, shut up, hold your tongue.
Where’d my baby go, where’d my baby go?
Move all your stuff to the back of the bus.
Talk him out of it, talk me out of it.
Take a little trip through space and time.
See how you feel when you loose your mind
All your huff and all your puff.
Never gonna blow this house down.
All you touch and all you see.
Live your life through USB.
Chew me up and spit me out.
And now I'm falling on my own two feet.
Boogie down and twist'n'shout
And now I'm falling on my own two feet.
Pick me up and treat me right
And now I'm falling on my own two feet.
Taking (inaudible) all (inaudible) night.
And now I'm falling on my own two feet.
Everything will be alright.
And now I’m falling on my own two…falling on my own two feet.
